Why is High Rise Development Better for Pakistan?

Unfortunately, the trend of adopting the high-rise lifestyle has not been welcomed in Pakistan. Specially Lahore, Housing schemes are being developed on the outskirts of Lahore, this shows the demand for residential schemes in the city. Islamabad and Rawalpindi, are initially two nearby but separate cities, which now overlap each other as the cities expanded to meet the rising population. High-rise development will soon see a massive rise in Pakistan, due to its environmental impacts.

Saving Land and Accommodating More

High-rise buildings are the most suitable solution for cities like Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore which are facing land constraints. The idea of vertical structures sets in as the population is rising. As the land becomes scarcer in the future, the only way to accommodate people will be to build High rise structures. High-Rise or Skyscraper buildings benefit the environment and have the ability to lodge more people than other housing schemes, whether for work or dwelling. It prevents the loss of land, noise and air pollution.

In Pakistan, High-rise expansion is predicted to be the way of the future for urban development. When it comes to skyscraper construction it is encouraged to convert slum areas of the country into high-rise apartments. High-rise residential buildings in cities and skyscrapers are erected on smaller plots of land withholding 20 to 50 storeys. As a result, natural resources will be less disrupted, and more people will live comfortably.
